I’m glad we won, but still a bit disappointed in how we let a late 7-2 lead slip away once Adam Scott left the game. We will only go as far as our pitching takes us, so we must shore our bullpen work up. Samford will be a very tough matchup for us as they might arguably have the best pitching depth in the league right now...Samford has been very tough on us in tourneys past. But we are definitely capable of beating them and everyone else in the conference if we put it all together. GO T-DOGS!

Well, we lost tonight. That’s very likely pretty much it for our chances at a regional, as it is almost impossible to win these tournaments if you don’t start 2-0. I would even support having conference tournaments and regionals going to a single-elimination format like basketball has. It would save a lot of wear and tear on pitcher arms and the results of the tournaments likely would still be the same. But I digress...

Disappointed we did not hit it better, getting only two runs.

One game at a time. Would love to see us send UNCG home, which would make a statement and provide Mighty Mo. Today, 2:30, SoCon Digital!

Well the season ended today with a 15-7 loss to UNCG. We just did not have enough pitching depth to win the conference and/or tournament, that’s all there is to it. And we know why that is and we don’t need to beat that dead horse. But I still thing congratulations are definitely in order for Coach I and his staff and this team and especially this year’s seniors for a great season and a job well done. We finished the year 36-23 and 16-11 overall in SoCon games and that is a record to be happy about. Not many Wofford baseball teams have accomplished such success. It was a very good year and I’m proud of the guys.

It was a thrill watching Samford beat Fla St in the Regionals. Whether they can continue or not, it tells the baseball world a little about the SoCon.

Adam Scott was taken by Cleveland in the 4th round with the 133rd pick. I believe this is the highest a Wofford player has been drafted in quite some time. I think Waring was a 7th round pick. Either Morris Hubbard or Tim Wallace was a second round pick back in the day but I don't recall anyone else being higher than that. Congrats to Adam and to Coach I and his coaches for putting the work in to get that result. Big things in store for this program in the years to come.

I hope to see McClain Bradley get picked up as well as he is also a really good player.

Correction: It was Henry Hubbard in the 5th round but technically he was an earlier pick due to fewer teams/compensation picks.
