Lost 9-1 to Western to open the weekend series. Play at 3pm tomorrow and 1pm on Sunday. Time to rally back to "W" column.

I was hoping that score was an April Fool's Day joke but it isn't. Damn that's disappointing. Hope we can rally the next two days.

And we're down 8-2 in the top of 7th vs. the Catamounts. Could be swept @home- N.G.

Lost 12-3. Next 6 away this week: Baylor in a 2-game series, 1 @Winthrop and 3 @Samford. Terriers are 1-5 in SoCon standings.

After a promising start to the season, it appears as if baseball has hit a wall. Hopefully they can get this thing turned around but with the next 6 away going to be a tough task. Finish strong and lets hope 2016-2017 is a better year for Terrier Sports. This past year has been forgettable pretty much across the board.

It appears that everyone, including me, overrated us. I guess we just have to remember that at our core, we are still very much an impoverished program with only 4.5 scholarships. It's just very difficult for paupers to consistently compete with princes that have all the cash they need. Our insanely high tuition doesn'thelp either as a scholarship at Wofford costs much more than one at WCU or Mercer does. I've often found it ironic that although most Wofford students cone from very rich families, the Terrier sports teams are all dirt poor.

Don't throw in the towel just yet. The glass is at least half full.

There's still time to do something this season. But right now it just doesn't seem to be the same team as last year. Hopefully they can find the mojo.

Lost 9-5 to Baylor; we were down 4-0 after 1 inning. Play them again @5 tonight, then off to Samford for weekend series.
Need to split vs. the Bears and go to Bama with some mojo.

Late in the second game we are down 4-0 but have the bases loaded with one out.
Sagarin currently has us rated 223 out of 300. The WCU series really hurt us. http://sagarin.com/sports/cbaserate2016.htm

Another weekend series lost. This season has definitely taken a turn in the wrong direction. Hope they can turn things back around.

Definitely disappointing considering the promise and optimism most had for this team in the preseason. Combine that with the good start we got off to and I never saw these struggles in conference play coming. I'm not sure what has happened and what went wrong. We just aren't winning like we'd hoped and thought we would.

Conference play is totally different from preseason. Teams you play in preseason are just figuring out their own teams and have no scouting reports on your hitters. Once you reach conference play you are playing teams that have scouted you and know your weaknesses and how to expose them. Their coaches and pitchers know how to pitch your hitters. You simply cannot gauge how a team will perform in conference based on preseason play. Add to that the fact that you could not start conference play with three tougher opponents than Mercer, Western, and Samford. Unless of course you played in the old conference and had to play COC, Elon, GA Southern and App. State. Truth is the SOCON is much weaker without these teams but the weaker part of the schedule is still ahead for this team.
