Wofford (19-5, 1-0 SoCon) defeats VMI (4-9, 0-1) by a score of 5-2 in the first conference game of the year for both teams. The Terrier pitching was terrific, with Matt Millburn and Will Stiillman combining to allow the Keydets only 3 hits on the night. Game two of the series is tomorrow at 3 at King Field. If you can, come support the Diamond Terriers, who are off to one of their best starts in school history. Strikeout artist Luke Leftwich is scheduled to pitch.

Terriers face deficits of 5-0 and then 7-2, but score six runs over the sixth, seventh, and eighth innings to earn an 8-7 come from behind victory over the VMI Keydets today. This was win number 20 for Wofford this season and more importantly it moves us to 2-0 in the SoCon. We go for the sweep of VMI tomorrow.

Note- only four D-1 baseball teams have 20 wins- LSU, Texas A&M, Florida Atlantic, and WOFFORD! Congrats to Coach I and the Diamond Terriers on a great season so far. But there is still much work to be done. The meat of the conference schedule still lies ahead.
