Unfortunately we still lost. Looks like another long season. I miss the days when going to the ballpark to see the Terriers was fun.

Morehead State was winless at 0-3. That is until they played Wofford. Meanwhile, USC Upstate beat SEC Kentucky and The Citadel (who have beaten ACC Virginia Tech and Top 25 Louisville themselves) and Charleston beat ACC and national power North Carolina. I know we face an uphill battle with baseball funding, but it just eats at me to see how far behind we are. the way it has gone so far, I am starting to wonder if our team is going to win 10 games this season. I am actually hoping they don't in a way because then maybe Wofford will feel forced to make a coaching change. And while a new coach would in no way ensure better results, it couldn't hurt to try.

Well the Terriers did pick up a 7-6 win over Gardner-Webb yesterday but I agree with you that it looks like another long year for Terrier baseball.

At least we won't go winless. I guess that's something. We are going to have to set the bar low here.

Maybe, just maybe, there is hope for this season after all...crossing my fingers. I might even go to Rusty King Friday evening to check out the game against Longwood. I have memories of watching Wofford play Longwood at Law Field back during my time at Wofford...they had eventual major leaguer Michael Tucker on their team (he spent some time with the Braves) and those games were very fun and competitive...the teams did not seem to like each other much!

Seems like I remember Tucker hitting one to the train tracks.

After 7 innings we are being soundly beaten 6-1. Time to get in where it's warm. Longwood obviously has a strong ace pitcher. I hate to say it, but I feel that today is likely a preview of what we can expect to see on most SoCon Fridays. It was nice for nostalgia's sake to get out to the baseball field again and they had some good hot dogs, but I swear it sometimes seems like the teams we had with Mark Line in the early 90s could beat the teams we have now. Oh well. I hope the Terriers somehow come back today, but that Longwood pitcher has been pretty dominating.
