Makes you want to pull for Wake this year

Postby T-Dog 4 on Tue Feb 08, 2011 2:04 pm

Wow. This article makes me want to pull for Wake Forest. In an age where there is so much wrong with athletics, it is good to read a story like this. Well done, Coach.

This is one of the most amazing stories I've ever read. The selflessness portrayed by this coach is unheard-of in this day and age. Wake Forest is very lucky to have a man like him leading their baseball program. Character like this is what helps build quality long-term athletic programs. It's too bad Wofford hasn't found someone like this guy to run the baseball program. Wofford baseball would greatly benefit from someone like this man, a man who really cares about his players and their well-being on and off the field. The Wofford baseball players are all high character guys, it's time they bring in someone who won't take that for granted.

Great story. Let's hope we don't hear a peep from the NCAA about coaches giving athletes gifts. So far, they have been, rightfully quiet.
