My question is whether she goes all out on the Steeplechase or saves herself for the 5000 which is run about 2 hours later? I guess it depends on how she and her coach feel about her chances in each event. That's a short recovery time, but I would imagine that a number of the competitors are doing both events. She is a world class runner, and shouldn't have too much trouble doing both.

I think her chance to finish higher is in the Steeplechase and she will go all out for that and sacrifice the 5k. Thats what I would do. She will have enough in the tank to run the 5k but I think her ceiling is higher in the early event.

Finished 3rd. Strong showing for Hannah. 98 degrees in Austin today. NCAA might want to reconsider these things before assigning Championships.

Another strong race for Hannah in 5k. DIdn't see final place but was close to Top 10. Not bad for running 75 minutes after the Steeplechase. She could be a favorite for both next year if she continues to improve.

Just missed second place in 3000 by just over one second. All American, only one from SoCon. So proud of Hannah. https://woffordterriers.com/news/2019/6 ... ships.aspx

Hannah's progression has been phenomenal! From her wonderful freshman year through this year it has been about as good as possible. Coach Johnny is doing a woderful job and Hannah is a superstar!

It is a good debate. It is not apples to apples as one plays a team sport while the other was running by herself. Fletcher holds a National Record > Hannah does not. Hannah is double 1st team All-American > Fletcher - did not.

I'm good just saying they are both phenomenal athletes who , incredibly, just so happened to be at Wofford at the same time.

at this point in their careers, Fletcher > Hannah. by the time she leaves, I would imagine those scales are turned. let's not forget, Fletch not only is a record holder, but also first team AA for mid major, mid major freshman of year. FT pct holder, 2 time socon POY... he gets the advantage now because of 4 years. but if she stays healthy and keeps this up I think she could leave as greatest athlete to come through Wofford. Eric (however you spell his last name) the football player/fullback is up there likely too

This will be interesting, Mexico in July!!. It is at elevation 5971 feet so hopefully temps are tolerable and she does well. Either way, it a great honor to represent your country in any endeavor!! Good luck Hannah!!

Gold medal for Hannah. Proud to be a Terrier. And the FU girl was second. What does that say for the SoCon and mostly our 'little' school ?
