After the team took that ridiculus road trip before Christmas they came back with a determination to be respected but quite frankly, whipped and accustomed to losing already. Who had the bright idea of that trip?

The point of the trip was _________?

A. Funding. With what he has to work with Mike Young does well, I think. If you want more, pony up.
B. Conditioning. We have facilities but do we have strength coaches and trainers?
C. Academics. - Unlike a few other places our athletes actually are expected to attend class. Any of our athletes been locked up lately?

I'm beginning to think that S&C might be our #1 issue-

- football - defense hobbled by multiple injuries for most of the season

- basketball - a leading scorer out for the season four of the past five

- baseball - key pitchers out with injuries last season

Even if we are victims of bad luck, improved conditioning would temper the degree of the injuries.

Money is always an issue, and will be until we are fully funding all allowed scholarships allowed by the FCS.

Scheduling looks to be an overall philosophy by the Athletic Department, since we usually don't hesitate to take on FBS opponents, regardless of the sport.

We're a unique institution that does a lot with the resources available, but it would seem that S&C is an investment well worth the return.

Playing these heavyweights in basketball has not proved beneficial in
helping our conference play, therefore, I'm wondering if the financial
return is worth it. I saw where we are a distant last in the SoCon in
basketball expenditures at $279,000. On the average, does anyone
know approximately how much we clear per game playing the Michigans,
Cincinnatis, Auburns, etc.
