That is really it in a nutshell. Who wrote that on UFFP?

BOOM! The nail has been hit squarely on the head.

(As much as I hate to acknowledge it)

May be some truth to this....but I think having Drew out really has made a difference. The Cincy game was the first without him in the line-up and we may not have been affected as much. I think we'll see a different team in SoCon play if we can get everyone back in the line-up.

That quote was from tya under the post "UNCG Thumps Wofford" on The UFFP.

I agree that Drew being out had a huge effect, but that just goes back to the comment that we don't have the depth to handle injuries.

I really thought the comments were pretty dead on, like it or not.

I read that we had two injuries against Auburn, Marshall and Nichols.
Will they both be OK tonight? Looks like we don't have a chance unless
everybody is healthy.

From Herald-Journal article:

The Terriers now must travel Wednesday to Elon with an 0-2 Southern Conference record and most likely without the services of leading scorer Marshall, although Nichols is expected to return after missing just one game. Gibson was out six games with a hamstring injury, and was slow to get up after a collision Saturday under the basket.

"He went knee-to-knee and it scared the heck of me," Young said. "But he's fine. Marshall tweaked his ankle a little bit. He'll be day-to-day. … I do think we'll have Nichols back on Wednesday."

I think the issue of depth is obviously valid but also there is the issue of guys that can create their own shot against anybody. We don't have any of those except Marshall. MY talks about it in the SH article and how important it is to have a guy at point like Gibson who can distribute the ball and get guys good looks when they can't on their own. Once again, it comes down to scholarships and money. More money = more talented players. My donation to the T Club is in the mail today.

Dumb question. Are we underfunded in basketball scholarships in the same proportion as we are in football? Anybody know how many basketball scholarships we have and the max. for Division 1?
