Yeah. First ive seen us even in on him but must have been in contact looking at his twitter page. Article income shows furman had him at junior day and liked him too along with some other MM schools
Guessing perhaps this was in part to the new coach from furman too, dwight perry

Morgan Safford is a 6’ 4” shooting guard-small forward. He seems to be a bit in the mold of a Trevor Stumpe just at first glance. We might actually have made out better with a guy like Morgan than with a PG like Catoor- we are already pretty set at the point for a while with Storm and Ryan! Now if we can get Zac Ervin back aboard as well as a quality big man we will have ourselves a very good recruiting class!

https://www.270hoops.com/news_article/show/991111 Talented, versatile, nice stroke, plays some D .... small school comp but talent is there. At this point looks a little like Spencer Collins. Will benefit being around Hoover, Bigelow, and other talented guards in practice, as well as Jones and Aluma inside ... has the frame and feel/potential of one who can play some tough D and mix it up inside.

I think Hunter was more of a combo guard from what I heard form coaches last year. he will be missed but we will be fine. could use a post guy and another scorer. Post guy for depth this year and scoring guard to develop for 2020-2021 if anything else. At that level in recruiting, I've noticed starts don't mean a ton (most are 2 star guys). Samford for example signed a 4 star who left after not playing last year at all and went to NAIA school. I've found best way to judge is see who else has offered, but then just trusting the coaches decisions and I think Jay will be great in that aspect.

I'm still optimistic on Zac, but that's 100 percent opinion. I do know we want to sign him and have been in contact, but 0 clue as to where he stands in decision making and from what I can tell the signing period is still open for another month or so.

I wonder if bringing in Safford hurts our chances with Ervin -- as both appear to be wing guards. Bigelow will be a freshman, too. I wonder how he is coming along? And I wonder how these guys all really compare? Hard to say, I suppose. Looks like Safford can play, though -- a nice looking shots and gets up pretty high.

Anyway, that would be quite a few wing guards. Of course, after next season and the graduation of Hoover, Theme-Love, and Stumpe, there could be a good deal of playing time on the perimeter.

I wouldn't think so. he likely takes Hunter's spot. still plenty of room for a shooter in 2 years. roster looks good next year either way, but can always use scoring off the bench next year if available.

Would not be surprised if he became RS.

We have an offer out to James Glisson according to verbal commits and his profile has our offer pinned on twitter. He appears to be 6'6 range and can shoot some

Those show as only offers but not always reliable as Cattoor signed with VT with no offer showing and we signed Morgan without any wofford interest showing

Perhaps some of the new coaches have guys they are after that were not on our radar as much befor

I have a strong hunch we are in meaningful contact with several talented inside prospects.

I wonder how the visit with Moreno went yesterday. Sounds like he's a really very good prospect.

Great news: Morgan Safford has formally signed with Wofford, according to his twitter.
Indications are Moreno had a good visit with us.
