Our D smothered them. If we can play like that....

DEFENSE! WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS Cam was a beast today. His hustle sparked the whole team!

..and Mercer at 128.

...and played like 821 (against a relentless & tenacious defense).

Congrats. Will be pulling for the AnkleBiters in the next one.

Agreed. Intensity was key and Cam’s role in leading that was huge. Not only did he have a big day on the stat sheet, but he dove for several loose balls and got them. We also dominated the 50/50 balls. Nice having Brooks back too. We really need to figure out Alonso because he has worn us out.

We have enough left to take UNCG, and they know it ... play great D, rebound, and share the ball. Cam the Man.

3 shots to tie or win the game, like our odds; hearbreaker result. Hurt for team, coaches, staff, et al. Shades of Arkansas, Wisconsin, etc.

Mark & Thom said Terriers may be invited to post season tourney. Hauser also said his future is tbd??? Broadcasts will not be the same.

I think MH is thinking about moving back home. It's been in the works for a year or so. He has a daughter at Wofford now who is graduating this year and his wife moved back to Oregon (?) to teach.

Hauser is a great guy and very good play-by-play guy. It would be sad to lose him.

Bummer of a game today!!!!

Wofford played pretty well. It hurt to lose Jackson with the 3rd foul -- one that looked iffy to me. I'm not sure Coach Young didn't leave him out a couple minutes too long. But who knows....we actually built the lead while he was out....but then had a tough stretch, too.

Hard to believe that we got three looks at the end and didn't make one. I really thought Murphy's shot looked good. Aargh!

Still, a pretty darn fun season, with the wins over GT and UNC. And a new arena.

If everybody's back next season (I know Jackson is a 4th-year junior...), we should have a chance of being very, very good. Still might need a defensive stopper, a junkyard dog type, an all-purpose athlete. Someone to give that little extra edge. I think it could be Hollowell -- he's really athletic. Maybe Aluma. Maybe a yet-to-be-signed freshman. Or, you know, maybe various players just improve incrementally -- Hoover a little more consistent, Murphy a little more confident, Pegram mastering a couple post moves and using his size more effectively, Jackson a little less foul prone, etc. In any case, things look pretty bright for WoCo basketball.

Would have been fun to be in the championship game tomorrow....

I’ve seen it written in several places that people think we will get some sort of post season tourney invite. Any ideas which tourney is most likely?

UNC-G has gotten surprisingly good defensively over the past year. Kind of thought that our game would decide the ultimate tourney winner...

Anyway, we wait for word now on post season play and I would think we have a good shot at CBI or more likely CIT tournaments due to record and star power of Magee. Here is a good link to a site that focuses on the post season beyond the NCAA Tournament --> http://www.nycbuckets.com/current-nit-bracketology/ The only potential issue is you have 2 other SoCon teams with strong resumes, too, in ETSU and Furman.
