WCU is 7-6 in league and gunning for us. It is very important that we come out and rebound and play great D. Toughness and hustle. If we do, the O will take care of itself.

We hardly ever play well there as Shanesy explains in his latest piece

It would be great to hear that Brooks is back and that our playes have been spending lots of time with a Psychologist!

Regardless of the good start we really have turned the ball over a lot. It has been a trend all year to be way too casual with the ball. Someone should let the team know John Heisman's great quote to his running back; "son, it would be better to have died a boy than to fumble that ball."

Good to get a road win. Better defense, but still needs to improve. Better rebounding, but still needs to improve. 16 turnovers.

Fletch talked about movement on offense in his post game interview. If our guys don't move our passes are easy to pick off. It shoud be pretty obvious. We out rebounded them by a wide margin, but as a team we had more fouls than our opponent-who HAD to foul down the stretch. As Lawdog said, we had way too many turnovers, and so many of them were really very lazy.
The win is a big one. The truth is that if we had lost this game we would have been virtually done. Would love to see this team win at least half of the remaining games. The rotation with the big men worked pretty well tonight. I know it is hard to do, but they need to finish at the rim better. When they get fed the ball down low they need to try to destroy the rim and develop some respect from their opponents. We have 15 fouls among three players.
On another positive note. Is this the best free throw shooting team we have ever had at Wofford? With Fletcher, Hoover, Storm, Stumpe and Brooks we have some really good foul shooters.

A good, solid win on the road.

When Magee scores 20+ and Jackson scores 15+ and one or two other guys get to double figures scoring, it seems like Wofford does well. For one, it means key players are playing well (obviously), but it also perhaps indicates that the offense has a good flow. The team seemed more determined on the defensive side, too.

Defense and rebounding won this game. Teams have to get the message that they have to work to beat us and that we are not just a bunch of shooters, although we are good at that. Bobby Perez came in and did some good things.

I was out last night and was only able to sneak a few looks to watch the game on my phone. I am excited how well the team responded in a place we haven't played well and after 3 straight road losses. As mentioned above, was good to see Cam back to his old self. Plus, he played 31 minutes with only 3 fouls if the box score I read is correct. That's impressive. i don't think he has played that many minutes since the UNC game when he played 35 minutes. I look forward to Chatty tomorrow!
