ETSU, 1/27 7PM

It’s pretty simple. If we want a shot at winning the SoCon regular season title and earning the #1 seed in Asheville, we must win this game. The big question on everyone’s mind whether they admit it or not has got to be concerning Cam Jackson. Is Cam going to be ready to play Saturday? We really need him against a team as strong inside as ETSU. Our frontcourt will need all the depth it can get as ETSU’s bigs will likely be looking to get our bigs in foul trouble. We are very inexperienced behind Jackson and Pegram in the frontcourt. Quite bluntly, I do not think we can win the game without Cam’s participation.

I am definitely nervous about this one. I wonder if they will have any fans there. Johnson City is not that close, but maybe the new arena and the good team will get some of them on the road.

Personally I hope we have sold all our tickets, or at least all the ones in the lower arena-to our own Wofford folks. This is a biggie, not only to us, but also to the conference and the national mid-majors. Our team has 15 wins with 12 games remaining. That is a chance for a great season and obviously post season play. We need to take care of business against ETSU. Our team has defended its new house pretty well so far, and tomorrow night will be perhaps the biggest so far.

I'm honestly surprised at the confidence the ETSU people have on social. If I didn't know any better, you'd think they were Davidson. They see themselves (and Chattanooga) as head and shoulders above the rest of the conference in terms of program prestige.

Put aside the fact that Chattanooga has more socon titles than them and us combined, they are awful cocky for a program that's only won 10 conference titles in 50 years (6 in the socon), most of which were clustered a generation ago.

But I digress.

I think if Cam plays and plays well we'll be in good shape. I think Coach Young strategically played personnel against VMI in a way that would conserve energy. I know Cam wasn't there and that was part of it, but a lot of players got a lot of minutes and I can't help but think that was in preparation for this weekend.

I think we'll win this one, by the skin of our teeth. Home court advantage helps.

They are undefeated in the conference. Couple that with the fact that their basketball fans have always been quite arrogant, probably the most arrogant in the conference since Davidson’s no longer here, their social media confidence is of no surprise at all to me. But I think we have the right to be confident too. We have a very competitive team that is extremely tough to beat in Spartanburg. If we have our full roster available and we play our A game, we will have an excellent chance tomorrow evening of stacking another conference W.

I've noticed in the past few games, Fletch has struggle a bit and may be forcing some shots. A lot of that has to do with the extra attention he has been getting from defenders and I expect more of the same from ETSU. Our keys will be shooting it at a really percentage, not giving ETSU extra chances which also means keeping our bigs out of foul trouble. We are definitely capable, but it's going to take a great team performance. Let's go!

Excellent. People walking in from Johnson City and being turned away is a beautiful thing! We need to have TERRIER behinds in those seats!

Unfortunately, a number of seats, especially in the 51 Club area will be buttless.

The athletic department needs to fix this problem by next year.

Cam is still in concussion protocol and wont play tonight but looks to be in good spirits with the team during warm-ups.

Weird game so far. Not much flow for us on Offense. Too many turnovers. Need to get Stumpe and Hoover going to balance their pressure.

With Cam out, we needed to shoot at least our average percentage, and we shot significantly below. Our effort was good, but so is ETSU.
