Here's another great Magee article on NCAA.COM

IF THE LINK BELOW DOESN'T WORK (Class of 79', not the world's most gifted techie...)

Just go to the ncaa.com site and check out the headlines box on the right. It just came out today.

The kid's work ethic is legendary.

Copy and paste. I can't figure out how to hyperlink it

Nice interview on this week's coach's show. Also some nice comments from MY about Fletcher before the interview. Starts around 35 min or so.

Fletcher just tweeted:

"After talking with my coaches and family I have decided to declare for the NBA draft. None of this would be possible it it weren't for my coaches and teammates. I thank God for this opportunity. I will not hire an agent so I can keep my eligibility and return to wofford next year"

I suspect he will be back, but this allows him to get rated in draft workouts

It is the wise thing for him to do. Find out his value and his weaknesses.

I am surprised but at the same time it sounds like he will return for his senior season. Sounds like he is just testing the water to see how he would do in the draft next year when he really does go for it. But at the same time if he is not back then I wish him the absolute best. Either way - whether he stays or goes - it is a win for Wofford. http://www.goupstate.com/news/20180321/ ... hire-agent

This may not belong on this thread, but... The NBA is trying to make their G League a viable entity and create something that, if there is a change in the NBA rules, can survive. If the NCAA and NBA somehow get together and agree to something like MLB and their draft, the NBA wants to have a place to train high school players to play NBA style ball. The idea is that if players choose to go to college they must stay three years before they can again enter the draft. This would end the "one and done" situation, although it would dilute the pool of players in the NCAA. It's just in the talking phase, but I'll bet Coach K would love to be on the panel that discusses it!

ACC Commissioner Swofford is in favor of that: let kids who want to get paid to play play in an NBA minor league and not have to take college classes. That gives freedom to them and also protects the academic integrity of colleges and universities.
