Really glad for the win tonight. This is a great win for us right now. As this team develops the improvements probably won't be linear, but in time we will get there. I'm thinking we might be getting close to turning the corner. Hopefully I'm right about that, but for now, snack time!

One thing to keep in mind...we have never been particularly fast starters, not even with our best teams. Every year I seem to fall into the trap of panicking a bit early. But Mike Young knows when the stakes are highest and he is preparing the team for peaking at that time. We play our best basketball in February when it matters most...and that’s a sign of a well coached team. The continued improvement of PG Storm Murphy to me is a big key, along with keeping teams off the glass and getting more rebounds and staying out of foul trouble.

Stumpe needs to stay healthy too; he brings a new ingredient.

just glancing at our starts in prior seasons, there doesn't appear to be anything indicating a better or worse start. Our schedule is tougher this year in some ways and weaker in others (3 sub D1 games but also SC, NC and GT).

I can't really tell that much about this team, but I can't feel too bad yet. We're still young but I think we're starting to find our rhythm

Glad we won, kudos to Fletcher on another outstanding performance and glad to see he team rise beyond the debacle Sunday in Asheville.
BUT we will not be able to win consistently getting outrebounded by 13 (again) and giving up 81 pts. We will not shoot almost 60% from the floor on most nights. We got to get better.

So glad to hear that Wofford won. And I think the emergence of Stumpe could be a big deal. He has some size and strength -- could really bring some defensive toughness on the wing, which could help a lot. And another solid outside shooter -- very important for this team. I feel like I'd heard that Coach Young wanted to play Stumpe more during his freshman season, but minutes were just so squeezed....and then he's had the injuries. Glad to hear that he may be really ready to get in the mix.

I feel like Jackson is going to have his break-out at some point. Seems to me that he's got the talent, size, and athleticism. I think he's still figuring some things out....but very has a chance to be a star for the T-Dogs.
