Didn’t watch or listen but Cam played a grand total of 12 mins and fouled out. Wow. Talk about unproductive minutes. Hope this isn’t a trend.
14 rebs is flat awful. No production from anyone else. Murphy already getting a ton of mins at PG. We are a long ways away from where we need to be.
This team is called Charmin. Being unskilled is one thing but rebounding is hustle and effort.

Hoover needs to shoot it better. Theme Love is little offensive threat and does little penetration/driving/assisting; Murphy does; both in the game at the same time shows potential. Lowery is slowly getting better. Hollowell is a deer in headlights, but shows promise. Brooks needs to focus on defense and rebounding; no offensive threat. Jackson had terrible game and needs to back off the fouls, but can be one of our best players, especially inside; like his effort, but overmatched inside tonight. Pegram getting better. Aluma coming on fast. Magee, of course, a force. Is Stumpe injured?

Considering the large rebounding difference, we acquitted ourselves well; Cal-Berkeley is huge. We have a chance to be good before this is over. Game helped our national profile.

Yeah, we won’t face too many teams with both a 6’11” and 7’1” in their backline, one of whom is a Kentucky transfer. Despite the height difference we still have to get in good position and block out!

My guess is that Cam's going to do just fine against SoCon competition. Dealing with guys 6'11 and 7'1 must have been quite a challenge. And early foul trouble can change the whole dynamic. Wofford may need some help from the guards rebounding. I'm impressed that Pegram was productive offensively.

And it could REALLY help for Hoover to shoot well.....

It appeared that at least three of Cam's fouls were really "dumb" ones. I'm sure he knows it. Against such a big team his fouls have to be "smart" ones, and he needs to stay in the game to keep the bigs away from the rim. Pegram has become a shooter, and if you have a seven foot shooter someone has to go away from the basket to guard him. We have to have production from the rest of the team, or every team will play a box and one against Fletcher. These early games are great for learning not only what to do, but what combinations work. We would like have Cam and Pegs on the floor at the same time, but that may not work. We'll see.
