I wonder if there are odds out on where Zion is going? If so, I bet one could make a tidy sum if he bet Wofford and Zion actually becomes a Terrier!

I thought the first coach's show of the season was very good. The review of the games was fun, and I thought Coach Young was upbeat, candid and told some really neat stories. The one about Brad Stevens at the last Harvard/Wofford game was good. Also, the comments from Roy Williams to MY after we won were interesting. I thought Coach Young was very candid about the playing time in the UNCG game, and the fact that he probably should have made more substitutions. Personally I thought we got caught in a rut and never tried to get out. Nice to see a coach who has the security to admit it. The Harvard game will be a nice adventure, but the Furman game is critical this early in the season.

And to add to Storm's comments, Todd's blog: http://www.goupstate.com/news/20180112/ ... ring-storm
Hopefully, #5 continues to blossom. Promising!

OK, away from the Fantasyland of Zion to the reality of this season. I see that on Thursday night ETSU evidently plays at Furman; and that our game with Samford is an 8 PM (I guess it is 7 local) start. Every road win is to be treasured. They are critical, regardless of the competition.
Just noticed that Lunardi's Bracket prediction now has ETSU as our conference representative rather than Furman. We keep winning and our name will be there in the projected position.

Enjoyed the coach's show on the way to work this morning. Trevor Stumpe was the player interview.

The SOCON representative will all come down to that weekend in Asheville. Need to be peaking at that time and be healthy. Critical to get a bye as we know. Lots of work to be done. Go Terriers!

Big win by Chattanooga over UNCG!

That is a big win for us. With Cam apparently ready to come back later this week we may be in pretty good shape for a 2 or 3 seed in the tournament.
If the box score is correct, Chatty and UNCG scored a total of 46 points in OT. That is amazing. May be an NCAA record!

The UNCG-Chatty went to double overtime

You are correct, sir! I just saw the box showing "OT" and no notation that it was double OT! Still, that win by Chatt could be a big factor in the seedings.

Yessir, my wife is a UTC grad from Chattanooga. I was very thankful last night.

Having kept up with the league games, it has appeared that UTC has been in almost every game they have played, but has lost some close ones (including to us). Since we lost at UNCG in a bizzare second half it was good to see them lose at Chatty. IMO there are going to be a number of other losses by the top 4 teams to the bottom 4 before it is over. Mercer, Chatty, UTC, Samford and The Citadel can compete with all the league teams.

Apparently Cid shut down Alonso after his quick start. Our failure to put Brooks on him and shut him down was a big reason for UNCG's second half comeback against us.
