Watching the game... man we stink. Just being honest... Samfords munchkin is absolutely killing us.

Trying to come back. Got within two but can't break through yet. Down by 4 with 1:31 left

This is a gutsy comeback. Regardless of what happens. How we ever got this game into OT is beyond me.

Heartbreaker. They win it on a tip in 91-89.

We did some very good things. And Samford played well, from what I saw (last quarter and OT).

However, we simply must do a better job of stopping dribble penetration. Whether it is foot speed, technique, or whatever, I do not know.

LD, this hurts a lot right now; hope we can bounce back...

MY said on post game show: "We need to play Wofford basketball from outset and not wait until we are 17 points down. Also, must have others beside Garcia and Sawvell step up and play.!"

Need to learn from this and pound the Furples at BenJo next Saturday. C'mon Dogs!

My thought was that maybe they realized when they were way down and started playing their way that it will work. The call that fouled out Cam Jackson and gave them the two free throws to go ahead was pitiful. The replay showed Cam did nothing and the Samford player just bumped into him. In general it was a typical SoCon weekend refereeing debacle.

We need more dribble penetration of our own as well. While Garcia is a great guard and is having a fine year, penetrating for the layup/dish is not his strength. Theme-Love offers some promise in that direction, as does recent recruit Storm Murphy. Our bigs are always getting the ball down low from out front, with their backs to the basket, and they are getting double teamed and thus are less efficient. Let them get the ball more often on a dish, or following up a point guard's missed layup.

On D, does anyone remember when we last took a charge? Cochrane and Skinner used to stick their bodies in front of a driving guard on a regular basis, and taking a charge was a very celebrated and energizing play.

I saw the end of the game and the OT period and we had some good possessions and we had some where Samford bottled us up. Wofford did some good things and also made some mistakes they likely wish they had back to do over again. This one definitely slipped away, but let's not forget that the Terriers went onto the road, played one of the better teams in the league, and just lost by two in OT on a last second put back. I'm sort of playing the "moral victory" card by saying that, but I think coming close in a situation like that (and going through the postgame debriefing) may serve to teach the younger guys what is needed to win. The Terriers have come a long way this season and there is still a long way to go, but let's recognize this as a step since they very easily could have laid down, let the game run away from them and lose by double digits.
