Catching part of second half (thanks for the link TNHD). We went from a five point lead to a seven point deficit in just a few minutes ... the usual second-half fade. Defensive intensity and toughness are just not there. Too many turnovers. Hope we can step it up in last ten minutes.

Said last year that we couldn't stop dribble penetration and we were killed losing KC because of the D.

Another year... and we still don't defend the dribble penetration.

As for this game - missing the 2 FTs were huge and I don't totally understand the ISO pull up NBA 3 when we can attack the rim with the bonus. Hopefully we can make a run this year in SoCon but may be tough.

+1. Our D picked up some late, but still too spotty and tentative. We are not penetrating on offense like we should be either. Lost 60-59.

With as much depth as we have, no reason not to play hard all the time. We have some talent.

Apparently we hit only four 3-pointers; cold. Jackson played well.

A game we should have won.

There's no doubt that this was a disappointing loss. But there's a couple of things to keep in mind. First, Vermont has a very good team. Second, we are very young and this was many of the guys' first action against a mid-major team at our level. Despite all that, we could have just as easily still come out on top on a day when we didn't bring our "A" game and the shots simply wouldn't fall. This was a good game for us to have in preparation for the SoCon. I am still excited about the future of this team.

We were up one when Brooks missed both FTs at end (after a spectacular defensive play by Cam) that would have won it (one would have tied). With 9.3 secs left, they penetrate on other end to beat us with 3 secs on clock.
Poor loss. Nice contribution from JTucker off bench. Cam is a man. Mcgee held in check, Garcia didn't show up and Allen and Sawvell didn't pick up the slack. Hope we learn from it.

Brooks is usually a reliable free throw shooter. Magee and Garcia are normally better. Just an unfortunate result.

Yet another loss today. I am starting to think maybe we just aren't very good after all this year...we need a lot of work. We are likely going to finish eighth in an eight team field...not good. I hope we improve and turn it around before conference play starts.

As long as we have the kinks worked out by conference schedule time I think we will be fine. I don't care about anything but winning the league and conference tourney.

Sure some wins in the OOC schedule would be nice bug I'm not sweating it.

We were the worst team in Fort Meyers. I know I need patience with such a young team but alas I am not a very patient person. But I am still convinced better days have to be ahead with the talent we have.

True, we need some time to develop chemistry and good habits, with so many younger players. Still, we have some experienced ones too, who need to take some ownership!
