Pardon my "glass half full attitude," but I'm a little more positive. The SoCon is a one bid league, and an event like this gives a lot of playes who have little or no experience in college a chance to get some PT. It gives the coaches an idea of what players can do, and what they need to work on. While it is especially tough that we were in the lead or near it down the stretch and lost them all, that is a great opportunity for teaching. We played three quality teams in an interesting environment that gave the team a chance to bond. That is what the season before the conference season is all about.

No question it hurt us. Focus is now on offense and getting up more shots which puts even more pressure on our D and doesn't allow us to slow the game down.
At our level, we will not be able to get the defensive stopper who is also a serious offensive threat. So we have to pick our poison: offensive threat or stopper? We have been choosing the former and it shows. I also think we got really lucky with Diggs, Rundles, Loesing and Cochran with their D.
Good news is we have played very well early in all games and were within an eyelash of winning all games in Fort Myers. Bad news: we are 1-4 and can't finish games off. I think next year is our year.
