My deepest thoughts and prayers go out to the family, program and university as the Bears' senior Jibri Bryan died of a gunshot earlier today. It's a sad and tragic world in which we live, and no one is immune to such tragedy.

I just saw this terribly sad and tragic news. Honestly, I don't know what to say. As the father of teenagers that aren't that much younger than Jibri Bryan my heart aches for the family as well as the Mercer community. Unfortunately, Wofford's program knows of this kind of loss as well as do many others. There isn't any good that can come from this save that it can serve as an example of how we as a society can always do more. The thoughts and prayers of my family are definitely with everyone effected by this devestatingly horrible event.

I am saddened to hear about this. This kind of thing happens far too much. It is indeed a ruthless world out there. Too many people acting without thinking and too many people who are just flat out mean, selfish and devoid of any compassion for others.
