Eventually we will have to win a few of these games if we ever hope to win an at-large bid.

We blew our best chance v Arky. Still stings. No more moral victories.

Possibly true. I didn't think it would be possible to come closer than we did against Wisconsin without winning, but that's what happened against Arkansas. I was at both games. We hung with Wisconsin and had a shot at the end, but we forced Arkansas into our game and more or less maintained composure and control most of the game. Granted, their blatant disrespect helped, but we did everything except find that last extra gear it took to weather their last storm and even then, a couple of good looks at 3's could have swung it to our favor.

We are past moral victories at this point. It is time to win a game and continue the progression. I've always said I'd rather lose in the NCAA's by 30 than win the entire NIT, but maybe our program needs to experience a run. Maybe a trip to the NIT and winning a few games would help cement that culture, but I think I'd still rather take cracks at the Big Dance. Too many positives beyond the hardwood.

Just saw an interesting tidbit of news: we play Harvard in Boston on 12/31/15 with a return game in Spartanburg 16/17 season.

Love this. New Year's Eve in Bahston not too shabby. Great exposure for our program, though Harvard will be a tough win; Amaker does a good job.

Great scheduling there. Home and homes with Ivy League teams are very desirable.

Very exciting news to be playing the Crimson in Lavietes Pavilion near Harvard Yard (in the republic of Cambridge - across the Charles River from Boston.) Have been to a couple events at LP, most recently when the Lady Terriers Volleyball team played in an invitational tourney.
The Pavilion is similar in design to the BenJo; good site lines. And Harvard is also building a new basketball arena; but, it's slated to be constructed 'tween '17-'22.
Tommy Amaker has done great things in reviving the men's hoops program. Harvard won the Ivy League championship last year and tasted March Madness...also lost a heartbreaker in the 1st round.
I anticipate the Alumni Office will organize some type of pre-game gathering; so, look forward to seeing many member of Terriers Nation on New Year's Eve.
What a fantastic way to help ring in 2016 - a win by the Old Gold & Black at Harvard. Who wudda thunk it? :D
And if anyone needs tips on lodging, things to do, airport options, etc. etc., please let me know.

I can't wait until the new arena opens and then I read that we are BRINGING IN Vanderbilt, NC State, Georgia, Clemson, etc. instead of always playing them on the road. Of course there always the possibility that some of them will be too chicken to come to Spartanburg...

So long as our RPI stays solid and the SoCon as a league doesn't fall off, then this could be an occasional possibility, especially if Wofford is willing to schedule some two-for-one's which ought to be a no-brainer.

It will take two for ones to get the big boys in. We've had a couple with South Carolina before. USC has also done this with Furman and The Citadel. Clemson never would do it...guess the Tigers are actually more chicken than the Gamecocks LOL. As long as we keep a decent RPI, I think we can attract a couple of big boys to town, especially if we're occasionally willing to hold out for a two for one from some schools. By the way, here's an article on the subject of majors traveling to mid-majors that suggests we might have trouble attracting big schools to the new JRIS:

the non-conference schedule has been announced.
We need to take over Georgia Tech's arena and beat them And PC while we are at it. Okay, Clemson too at whatever they call the
Bi-Lo Center now
