Winner will get North Carolina, a 67-65 winner over Harvard. The Crimson had their chance to pull the upset.

Well the shoe techical is taking time.
So far Worrord is better coached and faster players since we left in 2010.
looking good Terriers.

Potentially less than 8 minutes away from the biggest win in school history! Dogs up 44-42 with 7:04 left.

Lost 56-53. Heartbreaking. I feel for our seniors. So close. Bottom line- we just didn't hit enough shots to win. We definitely had the opportunities.

KC lost his stride offensively in 2nd half, Collins should have taken more shots, and we needed to find a way to shut down Qualls. CJ played a helluva game down low IMO. All in all though, they still had chances to win. If we had gotten a bigger separation from them than 2 or 3 points I think we could have pulled it out.

Not sour grapes, but I still will be interested to hear from the powers on high if the shoe call was correct. I understand the context, but it just doesn't seem that anytime you want to delay the game you can just fire a shoe on the court. If anyone has an insight I would love to hear it.

An absolutely incredible effort by our team. There were a couple of teams that lost yesterday on effort, but this wasn't the case for us. This was a game of who ever had the last possession. We had two great looks and that's all you can hope for.

Finally, I think Arkansas last 2-3 possessions were key, and unfortunately not our best defensive possessions of the game.

That being said, there was so much we did right -special shout outs to the bench (who gave energy and offense when we needed it), the front line (that grabbed the boards and played great post defense), and our guard play (that limited turnovers and played incredible perimeter defense).

From a personal level, I wanted to thank the players, coaches, staff, affiliates for making this an incredible season to watch and be a part of!

I may be in the minority here but the best team didn't win. This loss to me feels nothing like Wiscy and the other MM games. We lost this one. Plain and simple. And it stings.
No high minded moral victories that we played well v. superior competition. We lost a game we should have won. In the end they made a play or 2 more than we did. Refs inserted themselves late after letting the teams slug it out for the first 36 mins.
I am proud of our effort; coaches and players deserve kudos. But we let this one slip away. I feel bad for the seniors to go out this way.

I'm more in the line of Ruckus's thinking.

I'm tired of losing big games. We have to knock off some of the big boys before we can we say we can run with them.

Ruckus and young terrier, I know exactly what you mean. I kind of feel some of what you guys do as well. There are no moral victories for us anymore. We have to beat the big boys to really reach tge next level, not just play them close. In all honesty we should have won last night's game. 32% shooting does not get it done. I'm proud of our team, our program and our seniors for all the great things they've accomplished, but we let a golden opportunity get away last night. Too bad.

I don't think anyone is counting moral victories.

I do think we can concede that the loss stings; however, the resolution to me is reflecting on a year that was the best in the history of our program- truly special.

We have built something we can really be proud of- a competitive basketball program that graduates players and does things the right way against the stronger head winds of one and done/transfers and academic and athletic fraud.

A thousand amens to that!!!!
I couldn't be prouder of what we have accomplished, who has accomplished it,, and how it was accomplished. We do it the right way.
Now, we get to wait and see if we can keep our coach.
