Well, Mercer just beat Chattanooga at home, so the stakes are high Saturday night at the Benjo.

I think we'll have a decent student turn out in spite of the interim break.

We have to play good defense and "Wofford basketball"

We need people to show up Saturday. Mercer is tough and there's no doubt that they will have support in the stands and we will get their very best shot.

We walked out tonight with about 6 students who were headed back down to Spartanburg. They said that they thought a good crowd of students would be there on Saturday night. I think we have decided to drive down for the game. I think a Wade's dinner is in order.

I think student turnout will be pretty decent for this game. We might surprise some people, myself included

I will be there with my normal crew of early 1990s graduates!

Heard somewhere that Mercer is bringing in a couple busloads of students...this is likely something we'll see from a team like Mercer for a long time. I've only heard good things about how the students are engaged w/athletics over in Macon. On the court, we'll obviously be facing a solid foe. I'm not sure we can "start slow" and come back against Mercer w/complete confidence like we did against teams like UNCG, Samford, VMI, etc. We may, but it only gets tougher, especially in tight league quarters. MY identified what he didn't like after yesterday's game, and said, "We'll do better on Saturday."

Mercer is bringing somewhere between 150-200 students.

I think We'll bring out at least 200 on a low end. 400 is usually the average for a home game.

Time to get some free tickets out to school kids and the community, which should work since this a weekend evening. Or advertise that if you show up and say "Go Terriers" you get in free.

And how about a "good grades night", where kids with good report card grades and their families can get free tickets to a game?

It started when they beat Duke, which I liked, but I have worked up a fair dislike of the Bears

Here's my Saturday: Bowling at 9:30 in the Brokeback Bowling League; Watch McGirt on TV 'til 1:30 when I go to the Wake/ Va Tech game; then off to Spartanburg to see our doggies. So far McGirt is all over the hole but can't make a birdie putt. He's playing well. Needs a good birdie run.

Need to clamp down on D and get Cochran going on O. He's 0-6 from 3. Need some bench scoring to give us a spark, too. Down 26-20 at half.
