State has a young but talented team this year; it reminds me of Iona. They are 6-1, playing (and losing) their first away game of the season last night against Purdue. Sunday 4 p.m. game, Reynolds Coliseum (instead of their PNC Arena). Would love to see us play our best against them, which is a lot to ask after an 8-day exam layoff. Still, ....

State has never lost one of these December games in Reynolds Coliseum. Their last loss there was in the late 90's before PNC Arena was built and they are very proud of that fact. Maybe the Terriers have the mojo to pull off the upset.

We came very close to beating them there 4-5 years ago, I think it was - had a late lead and lost by a couple. Ah, yes, 2006, lost 92-88; I think we missed about our last 7 shots and they hit about 5 out of 6 ... we had'em beat.

Yes, that game was in PNC Arena (or at the time, the RBC Center). They are a better program now and so are we. Hopefully we can be in that position again. The big school scalp list can always use additions (Cincinnati, Virginia Tech, Clemson, South Carolina, Purdue, Wake Forest, Georgia...).

Watched a little of Wake/State tonight. We can play against them. Just need to execute and play smart.

Our neighbors up I-385, USC Upstate, knocked off ACC opponent Georgia Tech today. So it would be nice if we could top the Wolfpack. We definitely have the potential to do it if we play well.

Roll call...

Who is joining me Sunday @Reynolds Coliseum? I'm attending with my nephew, an NCSU alum.
Double checking with Debbi T; but, looks like we will not have a pre-game Terrier gathering.

I'll be there . Left you a PM, WCNHD. We need to approach it like Iona - no fear. I hope we play our game and play it well; if so, who knows.

Evidently this is a General Admission ticket-no reserved seats in Reynolds Coliseum. Get there early to get good seats.
