It was very emotional listening to Aerris Smith, who played his last college basketball game tonight and is scheduled to have surgery. The guy has been in great pain and has been swimming six days a week just to be able to help the Terriers reach the Dance. The guy was in tears, saying how much he loved this team, and it brought a tear to my eye as well. What a great young man.

This team is special because they're true overachievers. Lots of heart and effort. Coach Young and the coaches deserve a lot of credit.
Can we now stop poor mouthing Mike Young and recognize our program as one of the best mid-majors?
Unbelievable run into the dance.

Plus 1--He is a great coach, teaches sound fundamentals, defense, and gets the players to buy 100 % into the team concept--I am really liking what he does--Also, we have a special talent rising at point guard--He is someone that makes his team better-Love the way he passes the rock--Very quick and crisp---There is a lot of upside there--I also believe that the staff this year made some huge contributions----It may be too much to expect to beat a one seed---But--it is sports--Someday a 16 will beat a one seed--Why not us---

http://athletics.wofford.edu/news/2014/ ... ath=mbball GAME VIDEO TOO; classy pregame exchange between the coaches. CJ had a good game. Karl Cochran rose to the occasion

For those of you who don't know, after the win last night the students at Wofford TPed campus in celebration.

Allegedly the last time that happened, we killed Osama Bin Laden.

Also, I was in the student section last night, and it's safe to say that the wine and cheese aspects of traditional Wofford spectators "went up a few proofs"

Great Game.

Wofford students killed Osama bin Laden with TP?

And administration didn't find a way to base a fund-raising campaign around this? ;)

http://www.goupstate.com/article/201403 ... ?p=2&tc=pg Team Maggie. Get the kleenex.

http://www.uffp2.com/SMF20/index.php?topic=8366.0 Some humor from the Furple board. Several posters were gracious to us on our win, especially our defense. Our arena is not the greatest, but neither is Duke's. Both get the job done, however, and both shine very brightly when great defense is being played by the home team.

A fair amount of haughty bitterness on the Davidson board.

And if you're keeping score at home, CofC once again did not qualify for the NCAA tourney.

Here's my thought about the WCU/Davidson game. Why Davidson thought the right thing was to let WCU run free escapes me. It was the only way they could beat Davidson. In my opinion, the worst coaching decision of the tournament. I know 'Lil Davey thinks they are the end all and be all, but they flat got out coached. I hope they can draw more students from the northern part of the country, because that is the only reason to join the ATT, or the TAA or whatever that conference is today. They can bring their fake footballers to the game, but they are still impostors.

Certainly agree with you Boulder. Don't see McKillop drop the ball often but that was not his finest hour.

BTW, I thought Dr. Samhat got into the cheerleading pretty well at our victory.
