The Terriers will travel up to Boone for what might be the last time ever to take on ASU tomorrow evening. The Mountaineers have struggled for most of the season, but they did beat Samford last night so they have some positive momentum and confidence going into the game. Playing at altitude is also tough f you are not used to it- fatigue can set in earlier. We are going to have to keep up the great defense and play well for 40 minutes in order to win. Every game is vital right now.

Amen, brother. Our guys are going into the snowy hills to take on a wounded Appie team. Their coach is on the ropes; the team is out of the playoffs; and it's our last time up there. Our guys need to play like they have been doing for the past several weeks. This, and every other game from here on out, is critical.

It doesn't get much better. Watching William McGirt IN THE LEAD AT RIVIERA while waiting for the game to come on ESPN3 and listening to the pre-game show with M&M. Go Terriers!!!!!

Wofford is down by 5 at halftime, 36-31. We are going to have to dig deep because this is one we can't afford to lose. ASU is shooting about 65%. The law of averages suggests that will go down. We played decent defense. We forced 8 first half turnovers. But they are shooting the lights out. As I said, I expect a cool down. Also they are making their free throws and we are not. That has been a problem lately that must be shored up before the tourney.

Wofford comes back to win it 64-58, overcoming a 3-15 shooting performance by Cochran. Karl did dish out 6 assists. Lee Skinner had 17 points and 9 boards. This was a very gutty road win at a tough venue. It just shows what playing strong defense can do for you. Wofford forced 16 turnovers. CJ Neumann was very effective with 11 points. Justin Gordan scored 8 before fouling out. I reaally like the way our post guys are developing. Spencer Collins had 12, including the biggest shot of the day.

Overcoming the huge state school up on the mountain-in their place in front of folks who pay to watch them- just warms my heart! The game was not much fun to watch because there was a foul called on virtually every play, but our guys overcame it all to conquer and prevail. In many ways this was a must win if we are to keep the momentum we need. Davidson is the class of the league, but we aren't far behind. We have a home game coming up Thursday which will be a chance for our fans to show their support for #9 in a row.

Today's game at Appy. 1700 attendance for a university of 17000 students? 10%? I've gotten so sick of those hillbillies bragging about their attendance figures. We have 1500 students. A couple of thousand here at Wofford for a home Bball game, 8 or 9 thousand for a football game versus a good opponent. App is pathetic. They were good competition. but I will not miss their fans.

Fear not, I am sure an excuse is forthcoming.

The excuse will most likely be that they still had a lot of snow and many of their students were at home for the weekend. I would say that there were still plenty of students on campus to get more attendance than that, and some students probably stayed on campus for the weather. I think the real reason is apathy- a disappointing season as a lame duck conference member. Or maybe they were smoking some of that "happy Appy" stuff . ;)
