Yeah, thanks so much, LD. Really means a lot to hear stories about Terrier teams and players of the past. Kind of helps to close the loop on our Wofford family. We have a proud athletic tradition and the younger generations need to be reminded of that from time to time.
Also really neat to know young Matt has a Terrier pedigree - a fine one at that. Sounds like if he means as much business in the paint as his great uncle, he will be a force for us.
Welcome to the Wofford family, Matt and Pops!!!! And welcome back to the family all of the Pegram clan.

Nov 1, 1967 was one of the saddest days in Wofford history. Along with Bobby Kendall from the basketball team, our #1 golfer, George Holliday was killed along with two other students. That Saturday was Homecoming, and, as Head Cheerleader it was not very easy. It was going to be one of the really fun days of my Wofford experience, but was very hollow. The service for George was that morning in Gallivants Ferry, I believe. His fiancé was the KS representative to the Homecoming Court, and a very good friend of mine. To see her vacant seat was not easy. I was constantly reminded of memories of Kendall yelling at me while I was trying to maintain some decorum! Wofford was around 1,000 students then, and to lose 4 that awful morning was quite a tragedy. While it is not a very good memory, it is indelible for those of us who were there. We move on, but we don't forget. Most of my memories of Wofford are extremely positive, but that wound is very shallow and will always be there.

From the Twitter line we have a new 2015 recruit. 6'4" SG Fletcher Magee committed today. He is a three star from Florida. Very quietly we are putting piece after piece together to be possibly a VERY GOOD team for years to come. It's time to start upgrading the facilities!

If I am reading the Twitter tea leaves correctly, we got another commitment this morning. Trevor Stumpe is on his official visit to us this weekend and may have committed. 6'5" shooting guard from Plainsville High in Ill. Reported offers from UIC and Northern Illinois as well as interest from Drake, Stanford, NDSU, SDSU, and DePaul.

If I am counting correctly that is three early commitments to next year's class. One big man and two mid sized guards who are all good students. Not sure if there are more to come, but that in itself is a great class. With our schedule this year and our present and future players Wofford is becoming a formidable mid-major.

I saw Richard Johnson tonight and complimented the program on the new recruits. He quickly reminded me they are only verbal commitments.

It's a long way to signing a LOI. Anything can happen in the mean time.

Both Stumpe and Magee appear to be smart players who can shoot it. At this point, Magee may be a little further along. Big Q: can they play intense defense?

All three recruits will fit in very well with those returning in 2015.
