Wow!

That's a great win -- just the kind this program needs. I would think Air Force -- and I admit that I don't know much about them -- would be along the lines of a lot of SoCon teams. We've had a few wins over bigger programs, but it's this kind of win that I think the players can use as a good benchmark and confidence boost for the conference schedule.

And for Junior Salters to score 28....that's the kind of thing we're going to need: Junior stepping up as a real go-to player.

Final WC 74 AF 61.

Great game from the free-throw line (19-23), and a tremendous performance from Junior Salters. Drew Crowell also played well for the team. This is an impressive win on the road against a Mountain West Conference opponent. Now let's not come back and lay an egg at home on Tuesday.

Air force was 16-14 last year, finished fourth in mtn West (8th best RPI last year compared to Southern's 18th). Was 44-1 in non-conference home games over the last several years.

This is a big win for the TERRIERS in a very tough environment! Great job dogs and Mike.
