Socon Tourney Vs. Davidson

Great win today- I am very excited for the guys and staff.

On the improvement side- Free Throws and Three Pointers have to be better to win tomorrow. Luckily, we have some experience in the backcourt that I know will be ready to play a better game.

Well, how did the coaching staff NOT get the team up and ready for a second round game against a top 25? They didn't appear motivated or have much intensity. No special defensive formations, no full court pressing. Not much preparation. Is it time for a coaching change? At least he won a first round game.

I understood we were "keeping something back" when we played Davidson close the last time in the regular season... wonder if we used it today?

Yea, looks like they kept alot back waiting for their first meeting next year. Wofford loses 7 of its last 9 games to finish the season. Alot of cause for concern

Change

Postby jorober18 on Sat Mar 08, 2008 8:59 pm

Very disappointing loss. More the margin than anything, plus the losing streak down the stretch. It doesn't ever seem like we improve past January, is this coaching that is burning the team out? Is it failure to motivate? Is it fatigue against a brutal non-conference schedule? Is it injury?

I don't know what the cause but some change is needed to improve this team.

I didn't expect we would beat Davidson, but not showing up is inexusable. This is a team that beat Purdue! What happened? I hope someone with some better knowledge than me could tell me.

Again, I hate it to have ended this way for these kids, especially the seniors.

Not yet. But if I don't see more consistent effort and a winning reocrd next year, I will become a vocal proponent of a coaching change.
