Notes on Toccoa Falls game last night

Postby GoldandBlack on Tue Nov 27, 2007 10:37 am

- starting lineup for TF was 5'9", 5'10", 6'1", 6'2", and 6'2". Looked like their
tallest player was 6'2" or 6'3". They were fast, but way overmatched.

- our starting lineup consisted of Salters, Nixon, Dahlman, Godzinski and
Whatley

- looks like we have good depth re: with Johnson, Jackson and Martin, and
good potential with Bellbaum and Crowell. Crowell looks a lot like Tyler
Whatley did two years ago.

- one of the most amazing statistics from the game- Wofford outrebounded
TF 54-7. Not sure I've ever seen a rebounding edge that lopsided.

- obviously, there was a lot of substituting- one good sign was that the level
of play was fairly intense through the entire game, despite the disparity of
the score

I liked what I saw, too, other than the fact that Drew Gibson, Shane Nichols and Matt Estep were unable to play.

But I think Noah Dahlman and Terry Martin are going to make an impact this year and have the chance to have special careers while at Wofford.

I saw that rebounding stat and thought it was a typo. That is unreal.
