Wish the GBoro and VMI games were switched. I would make the drive on Saturday.

We will miss you, but the game is on ESPN3. This will likely be one of the more intense games we have played in in a while.

Mercy, what a beatdown! What an effort on the defensive end- we held them to 32.7% shooting. We absolutely owned the glass, outrebounding them 41-24. Chevy Goodwin was very impressive, with 5 points and 10 big boards- yet another promising young big man along with Aluma we have. Great victory that will put the rest of the conference on notice! These guys deserve a steak dinner, not just snack time!

Our team played with great confidence and resilience. Actually did everything pretty well, including D and rebounding. Goodwin really stepped forward.

Although heavily outnumbered, our crowd acquitted itself well ... a number of former players were there.

And Hops was an excellent dining experience; I think Boulder and our misses would agree.

That result will turn some heads. Sounds like the Terriers were hitting on all cylinders. Now they just need to ignore the press clippings and press on to the next one. Being from a one bid league every night is a "survive and advance" situation.

I would agree Eyes. We are not that good and UNCG is not that bad. Our guys came out ready to play defense and it appeared that it stunned Uncle G. Aluma was a beast around the basket. His stats may not show it, but he did so many things right. He was tipping balls that it appeared would easily go to the opposition, and he played relentless D around the basket. Fletcher, Ryan and maybe others made Alonzo's life miserable. Alonzo started swatting the hands of anyone playing defense on him, and he hooks when going to the basket. He either has an attitude or was having a bad night. He won't get away with that regularly. For the most part our guys did a great job handling the "baby press" that Uncle G uses. Cam also did a great job around the basket, and our guards were solid all night. There were a few insights gained from the great seats behind our bench. Our guys really take great pride in defense, and the guys on the bench are really into it
Having sat through the collapse last year (up by 14 at the half) it was somewhat of a hold your breat start of the second half. But our guys slammed the door, and I don't think UNCG scored in the first 5 minutes of the second half either. We outscored them 10-5 to open the second half and it really was over when they realized our guys weren't going to lift. As Elmer down the street says "it was a butt grinder."
That was so much fun I may go back over there on Saturday and pull against both teams!!!

Our player and ball movement on offense were very good last night. A big part of our success with that is because we had the depth to sub effectively when we needed a blow. Not sure we have ever had more talented depth than we do now.
