McGirt

He made an amazing comeback from "sure disaster" ( triple bogey) early in the second round with a great birdie barrage on the back nine. William has now made the cut in 9 of the last 11 events. He'll have to have at least one really high finish in these last two events in order to be in the top 125, but he is virtually assured of finishing in the 126-150 slot, which will give him conditional status. In addition, he is exempt into the finals of the Qualifying School, and the way he is playing he could do very well again. This has been a very good year for a guy who has truly earned his way up the ladder into "the big show." Root him on in Sea Island this weekend and then at Disney World next week.

William is now at 150 on the PGA money list, I believe. Hope he has a great tourney in Disney World.

This is the official money list as of today. McGirt is safely in the top 150, but evey spot means a more likely entry into SOME events.

William shot a 67 today and is currently tied for 7th, one shot behind the leaders. But there are still other golfers on the course.

William made the cut. He is -8 for the tournament, tied for 8th, 4 strokes off the lead. 3 players are at -12, 1 at -10, 3 at -9, and 5 at -8. First two rounds were solid. Now that he's made the cut, he needs to play like our football team: balls to the wall, and leave nothing on the course. if he does this, I would like to think he makes the top 125.

William finished the tournament at -3, and therefore finished 141 on the money list. He'll get into some tournaments next year, but not the full year exemption. Nonetheless, a fabulous season for him. I believe he is going to play in the finals of Q-school for full exemption.

The "Fall Classic" starts tomorrow-Q School. William finished 2011 with 7 straight cuts made. He will have conditional status in 2012 regardless of what he does in Q school. A good finish gets him fully exempt again. Play hard, we're pulling for you.

Second round one over 73 in the wind. While it wasn't his best, he still didn't lose much ground, and is T9 a third of the way through. ANYONE in the field would feel good about that position. William knows that it is a marathon, not a sprint. Just keep grinding and keep your head up.
