Hope Rome had a huge (and safe) crowd last night to recognize William and Tommy.

I shared via earlier posts how cool it was to meet William (and Sarah) at the TPC Deutsche Bank event in Norton, Ma (Labor Day weekend.) He is a great guy! I still laugh about the Shipp and DuPre Hall stories we shared; sort of... "can you top this?" :D .

My neighbors, who accompanied me to the tourney and met William, continue to sing his praises.

Looking forward to seeing William play at the TPC in Cromwell, CT and/or Boston again.

Happy New Year to Wofford Nation!

His career in golf is like a ladder, in that he has slowly and skillfully climbed one step after the other. If he can continue that this year it will mean a number of top 25 and a few top 10 finishes. His start in the first event gives him a chance to prove that to himself. He has shown he belongs. It is time to take that next step.

Fun article, and nice to hear. There are many who are not so appreciative, and it is refreshing that our Wofford man is delighted and thankful to be among the elite.

William had a solid first round at the Humana Challenge. Shot 5 under and tied for 22, 4 strokes off the lead. Needs a solid 2nd round to ensure a payday.

William had a tough Friday but rebounded with a -4 in the third round, which was completed this morning, and is tied for 31st.

Actually caught a bad break, and was playing at LaQuinta where the big winds hit. He was just playing back to back par fives when the big winds hit, and it probably cost him a stroke or two. A Good round this afternoon and he makes good money. Looking for another top 20 finish.

William finished the day -3, and was -13 for the tournament. He finished in a tie for 30th, and is 33 in the Fedex points. Great job, William.

T-19 at Sony and T-30 at the Hope (I refuse to acknowledge Clinton's new association with this tournament). Good start to 2012. Keep it up William!
