Blurb from GoUpstate discussing Local Pros in this weekend's action; notably Crowne Plaza:

"Boiling Springs resident/Wofford product William McGirt recorded his lone top-10 this season with a tie for eighth at the Arnold Palmer Invitational in late March before missing the following week's cut. He's made the weekend in all four outings since, but has finished better than tied for 43rd just once with a tie for 37th in Texas. Final-round scoring has done him in as he's posted 73-80-73-75 in his past four starts. His best finish in two trips to the Crowne Plaza was a tie for 31st two years ago when he carded his first three rounds in the 60s before ending with a 72."

Hoping for a solid weekend.

Made the cut at Muirfield, finishing strong and overcoming a bad start to his second round. http://www.pgatour.com/leaderboard.html

Finished +2; tied for 37 (with Ernie Els, Rickie Fowler and Trevor Immelmanl; keeping good company!)

Thanks, LD.

He made 4 bogey on front 9; then, scored 4 birdies. Tied with Justin Rose, et al; so, not too shabby.
May try to get to Hartford during the weekend.

Go William!

Finished T30, -3. Played some good golf. Cool to see 44-year-old Ken Duke, in a playoff, get his first PGA win.
