OK, 4 rounds in the book and Wm is T10. The courses are really playing hard for everyone. One Korean had the best round of the day going-5 under through 16 holes-and finished with a bogey and a quadruple bogey to end up even par! Brutal...

William is tied for 19 with one round to go. Top 25 gets him his full tour card. Let's go William!

William came out of the gate firing at the pins today. He is -2 thru the 6th hole. When you go to pgatour.com, he will be the lead article. Bring it home William!

William finished -3 for the day, -11 for the event, and tied for 15 place. Barring miracles by other players, he should retain his full exemption for next year!
Outstanding job, William!

If you enjoy sports and competition it doesn't get any better than this. They started with 173 guys playing for their careers. William shot 65 in round one and stayed in the top 25 all six rounds. He gave us a little thrill today, but finished like a true champion. HIs progression has been just like a step ladder-one rung at a time. This year he will know his way around, and play courses he has seen before. He will get into a few more events from his background, and he will "know the ropes." The next goal should be a couple of top ten finishes and get exempt for next year early. Then he can start to make plans for the future. After the despair of the football game this is a real high for the Wofford faithful. William knew what he had to do and then went out and did it. Good stuff.

That was one hell of an approach shot the the pin. I bet that was the longest 3 footer he's had in a while. Very nice William!

I'm glad that this is getting lots of press. For Wofford this is the first professional athlete since Jerry Richardson, I believe, to play at the highest national level. Having made the tour is like starting in the NFL, NBA, MLB etc. It is simply the best it can be. We would all love for him to take the next step and get exempt for the next season, but for now this is as good as it gets. I would love for the Wofford community to create something like "Terrier Travelers," or "McGirt's Fan Club" or some catchy name, and sell t shirts in the bookstore. Then they could wear them whenever they go to a golf tournament where William is competing. He has not only done a great job on the course, but has made himself a "media darling" with his ability to do an interview that the medial appreciates. He is articulate, accessible and humorous, and the folks who have to write stories or do interviews appreciate it. He also has a great looking Wofford logo on his golf bag!

Boulder, I couldn't agree more. Every article I read, he just comes across as Mr. Innocent (and I mean that in a very good way). I've seen the logo on the bag, too. He's just a good ole boy and very appreciative of his opportunity. He's lived the hard golf life and now he's just soaking up every facet of the good life. It's a real feel-good story for William, Sarah, and Wofford.
