William made the cut at the AT&T Tourney this weekend; but, is 11 strokes off the lead (rounds of 72, 74.)

Hoping for good numbers today and tomorrow!

William posted a good first round score at the John Deere Classic today. Shot -4 and is in a multiple way tie for 20th place. He is 6 strokes off the lead. (Someone came out and fired a -10 (61)). Damn, I haven't had 10 birdies in the last 2 years! He is only 3 shots out of a tie for 2nd place. Had a nasty double bogey on a par 3, sandwiched in between a string of birdies, or he would have been at -6 for the day. Another solid round tomorrow could have him in a nice place for the weekend... :D

William bogeyed the last hole yesterday and missed the cut by 1 stroke. UGH!

That is tough. He is currently 128th on the money list, and I know he will keep his nose to the grindstone and hopefully break through with a top 20 or top 10 even soon.

WIth McGirt's T5 finish it moves him solidly into the top 125 money earners this year. He also is solidly in the top 125 in the FedEx Cup standings (only the top 125 make the first of the playoff fields). He really played great on the weekend, with a best-in-field 64 on Saturday and a really strong 67 Sunday. He made a bogey on #16 and bounced back with birdies on #17 and #18. He has to feel very good about the way he handled the pressure of playing in the next-to-last pairing. I'm not sure whether he can make the field for the PGA at Kiawah, but will probably play at Greensboro. We need to let him know we are pulling for him.

Unfortunately I was on the road today and didn't get to watch. Did he get a fair amount of air time?

Go William!

William continues to roll. He opened today in the Canadian Open with a -7 (63) and is tied for second, one stroke behind the leader. Let's go, William!
