Spoke with John at last night's game. Good guy! He pitched 2 innings of relief in Tuesday's series opener leading the Sea Dogs to a win vs. the locals, reducing his ERA to 2.45. He introduced me to Madison Younginer, another pitching prospect for the Red Sox, who played at Mauldin HS. Turns out Madison's dad and grandfather are Terrier alums. Small world...

Sea Dogs fell to the Fishercats 6-4 and Madison was nicked for 3 runs in relief. took the loss.

Will plan to see these teams battle again next month in Manchester. And ideally JC will be promoted to Boston in time for our Saturday, August 1, Alumni Event; Red Sox vs. Rays.

John faced 5 batters in the 9th inning of Friday night's game vs. the Fishercats which was tied 1-1. Unfortunately, with 2 outs, he walked a batter on a full count, bases loaded and took the loss. His ERA remains ~3.4; record is 0-1.
Bounce back in this week's games, JC!

John had respectable season at AA Portland. Needs to get the BB's down. Gave up no runs last four appearances. http://www.milb.com/player/index.jsp?pl ... g/2015/ALL

John was released by the Sea Dogs, spring 2016. It appears he is out of baseball. He did some great things and gave it a good shot, and I admire his efforts; a loyal SHD. Best wishes. Anyone know more?
