The team started 0-3, then ran off five straight victories. but the team just followed that up by losing three straight matches in Charleston this weekend. The best match of the three came against the undefeted Tennessee Vols, as the ladies won the first set of tht match before dropping the next three to lose 3-1. But then straight set 3-0 losses to the College of Charleston and Jacksonville U. followed. The team is now 5-6 on the season.

An incredible gutsy win http://www.woffordterriers.com/news/201 ... 54542.aspx

And the Terriers also won their match against ECU. This team is still very young and with the current players has two years after this year to improve. I am very optimistic despite the roller coaster season. http://www.woffordterriers.com/boxscore ... ll&id=3152

The come from behind win over Chuck South was a great display of fighting and never giving up. And then it was followed up by a very good win against East Carolina. At 7-6, the program is above .500 the latest in a season that I can remember. I think we found ourselves a coach. This young team should only get better from here. Now let's beat the Gamecocks in our next match! THAT would be a nice farther in the cap for sure!

Lost to the Coots in three straight sets. Still a pretty good weekend in Columbia for the girls though.

The Lady Terriers very nearly pulled off another comeback from being down two sets, but instead endded up dropping a five-set heartbreaker at Upstate (22-25,17-25,25-23,25-22,20-22). The final fifth set was back and forth and very intense and could hve gone either way. Great job by the girls never giving up. This young team is getting better under Roos and you have to love the way they compete. They seem to have an energy that was lacking in the past. Their record is now 7-8.

Lost another tough five setter in the conference opener at WCU. Once thi young team learns to close out the close ones, look out.

I believe that Furman was 4-0 in the conference until tonight. Our volleyball team appears to be turning the corner.

It's always great to beat the Furples, no matter what the sport! think it is the new coach that is making the difference. Women's basketball, take notes!

Coaching and leadership make all the difference, especially at the college level.

Had a chance to watch some of tonight's win on SoCon Digital Network. Beat WCU 3-0; that is our third consecutive SoCon home win, with 3-0 scores in each. This team, which finished eighth last year, is now tied for third in the SoCon. They play with confidence and concentration, and are obviously well coached. Roos knows her stuff.

Once again I hope you had a chance to see Coach Roos at the groundbreaking. It was a big deal for a new coach that only has been there for three months, and she handled it very well. They have really put something together this season, and it has to have all involved with the program excited.
