I am getting the sense that our coaching staff is hot on the trail of some talented players. Stand by.

Thanks RT. After a limited internet look at these, it is encouraging; all five either offer excellent skills now or promise for the future. Pulanco (a fireball), Carmen, and Harris especially stand out at this early juncture. All are workers with great attitudes. Several could help immediately. Time will tell.

Seems like one player the ladies need is someone who can handle the ball and cut down on turnovers - ala Loesing or Garcia. There were games in recent years where it seemed like every other possession resulted in a TO although I am sure it was not that bad. It just felt that way. I am no saying that is the only requirement but it is an important one. And sounds like one of these four girls - maybe Pulanco - is the best out of the four. Hopefully all of them will help to reduce turnovers. Look forward to watching the new recruits play over the next few years

Under our new coach last year, turnovers were greatly reduced. I see that trend continuing.

Pulanco. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KdsZwU1jTLA

Coach Garrity went to Elon and coached in N.C. for a number of years; there are some really good lady players there. Perhaps he will get a lead on one or two in the future.

Whoa, we landed two more excellent players for this year! I am especially excited about Tomlin, who brings the size we really need; 5A state player of the year and top notch student to boot! (I think she may be a Richardson Scholar.) And Lutz, an athletic and versatile guard, is first team All Mecklenburg County ... not too shabby! This seven-member class is outstanding.

Wonder what MerrierTerrier may think about this group of seven.
