Good win today for our ladies over WCU. Farmer seems like a good guy. Hope we turn it around.

Outshot and outrebounded them. Good comeback. Still too many turnovers. There is some talent and depth on this team, and gaining experience. Nice video.

BOOM! This post illustrates the problem with the Wofford attitude and why Wofford continues to underperform is sports. I am sure Farmer is a good guy, a great guy even. But what does that have to do with his coaching ability? I would rather have an rear end that wins than a "good guy" who loses. Look at South Carolina with Steve Spurrier. The Ol' Ball Coach is an rear end. But he is a damn good football coach who has made USC football a consistent winner for the first time EVER! And that is all that matters. Everywhere but Wofford that is, where the main concern in more for how nice the coach is. This school is weird! In most places, this Farmer character would have had his nice self sent packing long ago!

Women's basketball is the worst program at Wofford. I sure would like an explanation for why Edgar Farmer is still the coach!

http://athletics.wofford.edu/news/2014/ ... ath=wbball Video and stats. 26 points by Logan Morris - wow. Beat UNCG - out of the cellar. Main difference was we were 24-34 FT, they were 6-10.

I went over and watched us play UNC-G tonight. We lost by about 8. We got off to a very slow start, and then picked it up and took the lead for a little while in the second half. Very sporadic; played well for awhile and then helter skelter. The effort was very good and players seemed to be pulling for each other. Fleming, Morris, and Washington in particular impressed me.

I chatted with a knowledgeable parent. We return 8 of our top 9 players next year. The expectation is we will be much better, with a core of experienced players - sort of like the men this year.

"The expectation is we will be much better"- forgive me, but I'm afraid I have heard that one before when it comes to this program. I won't believe it until I see it. But I hope this parent is correct.

I think we would be better with a new coach.

You may well be correct. He seems to be classy and nice guy however.

I agree...does not look like it will happen though.

"The expectation is we will be much better, with a core of experienced players" This could have been said each of the past 6 seasons at least. Each year they have a crop of talented young ladies returning and the result is the same although this year's record is worse than the last few.
