2019-20 Season

While it is too early to know, it is interesting to weigh possibilities for next year. Pretty sure Wanink, Green, and McDavid will be starters. The other two are most likely Carmen and Hatton. This gives us great balance inside and outside, with college experience except for Hatton, who it appears will be an inside presence from day one.

The great news is that we will have quality depth outside and inside, and will be able to play at least ten players. Booker, Lutz, Atha, and Pulanco will be early backups at guard, and Tomlin and Turner are talented strong backups at center. Harris, Cook, and Grob will get some playing time, although not as much is known of them at this point. This gives us the potential to play fast, as coach wants. Overall we have a lot of experience, for a change.

Hopefully players will be improving before the season starts, and will show up in the fall ahead of where they ended up this season. No doubt all players have been told what they need to work on.

A key factor will be avoiding the bugaboo of injuries, which has been a problem the last two years. Great optimism is justified ... we should be able to go toe to toe with about anyone we play next season. We need to improve our D and learn to play better and win more on the road.

This is THE MOST talented and experienced roster the ladies have ever put together, but the question is can we do it on the floor, especially on the road. Great chance the answer is yes. Play D! Stay fresh and consistent. Avoid turnovers, get steals. Rebound! Take good shots. If we avoid key injuries, this team will be fun to watch.

Schedule. https://woffordterriers.com/news/2019/8 ... edule.aspx

Challenging, interesting. Jump into the deep end early, vs. Auburn and Wisconsin.

I figured we would improve when we hired Jimmy and his staff a couple years ago. didn't think it would be this quick. They have gotten better each year, with better players and deeper roster.

honestly I think if not for some of the injuries last year we would have been even better than it was.

i'd imagine if people stay healthy, this would be as good of a year as we've seen from the women's side perhaps ever.

excited for all the coaches, as from the few times I've got to meet them they all seem like great people as well as coaches.
