One game does not make a season whether it is a W or L. But this is a step in the right direction. GWU is apparently a good team so it has to be a good win. Although it seemed the game was sloppy and the lady Terriers did not play well. They just gutted it out and played well at the end when it counted the most. Point is that we should not get to happy about this W. Just like we should not get to unhappy about losses. The road games coming up against Longwood and NCCU - after Warren Wilson - maybe will help them get over the hump of playing on the road. Go Terriers !!!

Dec. 4 we play Warren Wilson at 6 on ESPN3. Will be a blowout but will give many players a chance to showcase skills.

Looks like Pulanco and Cook are being redshirted (quite a luxury), while our rotation is primarily eight, which is a good number. Need to keep focusing on rebounding, which usually brings good defense with it, and shooting, which has been surprisingly sub-par so far this year. The talent is there and the experience and comfort level grow.

I hope I am wrong but it seems that the lady Terriers will have to play well to get a W. At first I thought 'Longwood ? never heard of them. This should be an easy one.' But look at their schedule. They do not have a good record but they just played St Francis (Pa) a tough one. Lost 91-88 at home. This is a home game for them and so far away games for our ladies have been dismal with the exception of GSU and Clem. Wanink scored a lot in those games but has been cold since then. Except for the last game although it was home game and against a weak team. Limit turnovers, get plenty of rebounds and score a respectable percent of shots. If they do that then they have a chance. Go Terriers !!!!!

Longwood’s gym is a JOKE. Tiny, no seating behind baskets, worse than the BenJo was.

Well done. Longwood jumped out to a big lead and we fought back.

Green had 10 points and 10 assists to go with 6 rebounds - awesome. We were 14-28 from three.

Just to simplify, Longwood was somewhat the UNCG and Winthrop of Va in the old days. It is close to Hampden Sydney and was an all female school. This is a pretty good win. Anytime you go on the road and win you are doing something special.

Yep well done to say the least. A W over a decent team at their place. For the ladies that is a good sign. After loosing to UNCA things did not look good. And then GWU came to town and that looked bad too. But the ladies gutted it out and got the W and did it with sub par shooting. Just a gutsy win against GWU. That game seems like it gave them a boost and now they are on a roll. So if they continue with good all around play we can look back on the GWU game as a turning point. Sorry that I am focusing on the GWU game when we played them over a week ago but at the time we did not know what was going to happen afterwards. Not saying they will win every game now or even most of them but it seems they have some confidence now which could get them over the hump. So far the lady Terriers have made progress and seem to be playing better. Let's hope that it continues. Go Terriers !!!

The players are finding their roles and synergy. Green is very versatile - fine scorer but also strong ball handler, assist-maker, defender, and rebounder. Booker is quick but needs to make fewer turnovers and score better on her drives. Our three point shooting is good, esecially since our inside game is getting better and deeper and we are thereby getting more open outside looks. Overall the team is more unselfish.
