Everyone in this league is pretty much even, with the exception of VMI. Any of the other five teams (including Wofford) could win in the SoCon tournament regardless of seeding. So the really important games are yet to come. Still, we need to win a couple of our remaining games for confidence's sake...we don't want to go into the tournament ice cold.

Tonight (10/22) we play at 7:30 on ESPN3 at UNCG, for their homecoming. We need to avenge our earlier overtime loss to them, and develop some momentum as we head toward the SoCon tournament. Should be a very competitive match.

Sweet payback at UNCG. http://woffordterriers.com/news/2016/10 ... -uncg.aspx

It has not been too many years ago that UNCG hammered us every single year.

We defeated Furman 2-1 on a late goal. It always feels good to beat the Purple Pukes in ANY sport! The Terriers finish the season 11-6 overall and 6-4 in the SoCon, good for third place in a very tough competitive league. We host VMI in the first round of the SoCon tournament, with the winner of that match playing a very good Mercer team. If we get hot we can with this thing.

12-7 is a pretty good year, but we need to figure out how to beat Mercer, which beat us three times.
