Looks like we are reloading our soccer program. This group of young men appear to be fine futbol players. I know we lost a good bit of talent with our graduating class, but this freshman class appears to be just what the doctor ordered. ... 04117.aspx

Has to be the best recruiting class in the history of the program (success breeds success). Based on the release from the Wofford website, the kid I'm most anxious to see is Dennis Moore. He comes with very big time pedigree.

He has played in the biggest games possible at the high school and club level, and he has been a leader and a winner in those games. The MVP award for the International Championship Tournament while representing the Region III ODP team in Costa Rica is huge. That is the best performance an ODP team has ever had and those boys were playing against professional clubs in that tournament.

We lost a lot of experience in the back this year and it looks like that has been addressed. We will have to grow up fast back there. However, if we can keep the ball out of the net defensively, we have more goal scorers on this roster than we ever have.

Finally, reading what these kids have accomplished and been involved in off the pitch makes me very proud to be a Wofford Soccer Alumni!

Great job and congratulations to RP, Barry and Carlos!

Coach Polson recently announced the addition of Blake Gardner to our already-impressive signing class. Gardner originally signed with Creighton U. (a top 20 program) but now is coming here, perhaps because Creighton recently lost its established coach. Coupled with some talent returning, we should be pretty good.
