On Saturday March 21 played the annual alumni game. The first team played a team of alumni with help from the reserves. Wofford won 2-0. Graduating Senior Joey Taylor kept the alumni close with an outstanding game in the goal.

On Tuesday March 24th Wofford beat Winthrop 2-0 (full 90 mins). The first team played most of the match with a few reserves. Wofford played exceptionally well. Got a goal in each half (Bryan Eddy 1st and Wilson Hood 2nd). Thomas Hunter went the distance in goal and played well, though not really tested. Our back four - Schuermann, Leach, McLeod, and Hyatt along with our two center mids, Paulo Bonfim and Armin Kinigadner were VERY good.

Winthrop won the BIG South last Fall and earned a birth to the NCAA Tournament. They lost in the first round to William & Mary 3-1. Beating Winthrop, even in Spring ball is a great win for us.

Earlier in the day Wofford Reserves lost 2-0 (70 mins) to SMC. The second team started and played this one for us. We just didn’t play well enough. SMC was motivated to get the result.

Thanks for the info, Old T Dog. It is exciting to see us doing so much better in soccer....it is a sport that has been down too long and one we should be able to excel at over time.
