We look great! But I’m not sure VMI would beat Dorman High School.

59-14. 550 yards rushing. 15-17 passing, for 221 yards! Whoa.

Watching a little bit of the Wyoming game. Pretty stout group, but fading ... down 23-0 in third quarter to Mo.

Terriers break a school record for total yardage in a game that had stood since 1925

VMI is embarrassingly bad. I have. I have no idea why they are even in the SoCon. Great to win big and have gaudy stats but not sure we got a lot better tonight.

I am worried about our depth on DL.

I agree. VMI is totally inept. As much as I would like to credit our team, we played a team with no defense.

VMI should probably follow PC to the Pioneer League, although I doubt they would be competitive there.

Only good thing out of last night IMHO is we were able to give some young kids game reps that will hopefully allow us to be better later in the season. I felt bad for the VMI players and family/fans that traveled and were in the stands. They should drop down to DIII where they can be more competitive.

The only thing in doubt last night was the coin toss. The league should let VMI draft 2 players from each league team. I have no idea how you turn them around. Glad it is not my problem. It is hard not to feel sorry for them, in that they are a school with a proud historical past and fine young men as students. The Citadel was pretty far down in the past and came back. Maybe VMI can do it as well.

Cid makes a lot of concessions for athletes; VMI does not.
Other than baseball, they are not competitive.

Look at all the service academies and how they play... Ball possession... VMI is playing wide open... Making the game long... Also putting their defense on the field too many times... Run the wing bone... Get some heavys that can move some people, a QB that can run (shouldn’t be hard, only 1 signed per year for most FCS schools), a full back, and a burner (that would be toughest in my opinion)... If you play that way, your need for studs defensively may decrease a bit, because you are limiting times on field and less stops you need... I think it can be done... They are playing a certain way that is not equivalent to their culture... I also don’t think D3 is the answer... Who wants that lifestyle for only academic money to play? Pioneer League speaks the same as D3... D2 may be the way to go, although drops you to 36 full schollys... I want them to succeed... I just feel they are system wise, going about it the wrong way.
