Fellow Terriers,

After some thought I have decided to put together a terrier gathering or two for those who make it out to Laramie. I will keep you all posted about plans, menu, etc.

Stay tuned. We will have a blast.

And just so you know, folks in Laramie are some of the most hospitable I have ever been around.

Thanks drpnut.
Spent a New Years there before 2000 and recall a pretty good rock and roll bar with fair sized dance floor, and a country bar with a bigger dance floor.
My memory recall is a bit fuzzy, but everyone was cool and relaxed.
Crowd was a mix of college younguns and locals, and prices were more than fair.
Look forward to the meet and greet.

Saw some of the Cowboys 29-7 win over New Mexico State yesterday- impressive! Evans, their star rb had 200+ rush yards (2 tds) and the QB, a FR, was a clean 12/21 passing. UW is big on the O line and D flew to the ball. Imposed their will on the Aggies. Should be another interesting test for the T Dogs vs an FBS opponent.
First...let's take care of our opener and beat El Cid!!

I hadn't realized that the coach of Wyoming is the former N Dak St coach. I believe he was the coach when we lost to ND St in the playoffs when EB was at Wofford. They appear to be a solid team in all aspects; unlike the FCS feature game also last night, which was somewhat an embarrassment to the FCS, with all the penalties and just boneheaded play by both teams.

Wyoming played well against Washington State this weekend, except for the fourth quarter when the game got away from them. Apparently Wyo is better against the run than the pass.

Am finalizing trip plans to Laramie and looking forward to getting with some fellow Short Haired Dogs.

Drpnut, the missus and I are flying in late Wednesday (tomorrow); any pregame plans for Thursday or Friday? There has been some discussion of some nice single malt being shared.

Right now, the Ruckus and LG crew are arriving early afternoon on Thursday. Would love to link up with the Terrier faithful at some point. A single malt or bourbon in the process would not be objectionable.

Terrier Nation,

Unfortunately, work has me out of town this week and I won’t be in this weekend.
I think we have a real shot at knocking pff the Pokes.

Rib and Chop House and The Calvaryman are best steak choices.
Altitude is a good choice, as is Roxie’s.

The best Pizza is The Crowbar.

Buckhorn, Alibi’s, and The Cowboy are all decent watering holes.
The Ranger is Laramies version of The Nuway monies the good food.

Vedawoo is a great place to visit as well as the Snowy Range for hiking, etc.
Albany Lodge is a good place to rent 4wheelers.

And just so you know 4 wheelers are tagged and driven on the road in Wyoming.

We are staying in the Hilton Garden Inn right near the stadium. Ruckus, ya'll pick a restaurant and we will meet you there Friday after we check in. I'll text you when we close.
Safe travels to all the Terriers making the trip!

GO TERRIERS!!!

Ruck, LG, Crabby, FollyDog, Wofford#1, WDFM, fgs44,and others who will be in Laramie,
We are also staying at Hampton Inn. If those interested in a get together Friday, or whenever, can email me, I can reply to all and thus enable everyone to communicate with everyone else.

As far as where to eat, the missus and I will be pleased with whatever Ruck and LG, or others, may choose ... apparently some nice options.

As far as the game goes, we will need to play hard and smart, but our chances are at least as good as when we went out a few years back and beat the Griz in 7 degree weather.
