We got 6 out of the 10 that verballed. Not bad under the circumstances. Need a decision made to firm up the rest and get more. The right decision could spur some big commits.

This early signing period lasts 72 hours. Even so, I suspect most would sign the first day. We got some good ones so far.

As of now, it appears that 43 of the top 100 have not signed.

The main signing period is the first Wednesday in February; surely we will have a new coach selected by then. Whoever it is,it will be a good one.

Interesting comments from the 6 new Terriers. They definitely seem to get it....also makes it seem like they might know something we don’t ?

Our path forward seems obvious to a high schooler. From TS's article, OL Al Hogan (Fayetteville, GA) had this to say:

“I feel pretty confident that they won’t bring in somebody from the outside. I think it’s going to be an internal guy. With how well things are going, I don’t know why they would bring in somebody new.”

Agreed. I would also think that the big win by the basketball team last night only helped our cause, particularly for anyone who might have been having 2nd thoughts. Sure wish we would go ahead & pull the trigger on an announcement. 6 guys seems kind of small and has to be reflective of the uncertainty in the HBC slot. How many did other conference teams end up signing yesterday?

I suppose that the delay in naming a new HC gives the illusion of a "national search." Who cares? Call off the charade, and let's roll!!!

Is it a charade? Are there applicants? What are players who are returning home for the holidays saying? Have there been interviews? Any "sightings" on campus???????

It’s a long time until Feb 1... I like 6 early signees... Still 6 weeks to chase some heavy hitters... Would like to see someone announced the 29th... Head into January and organize... Hit the road running January 11... Some of these probable commits are just waiting on us announcing... A lot of time to gather troops... A lot!

Just saw that as well. Ted Roof leaving Ga Tech is going to cause mass movement in the south. Along with the other changes listed below

Also Tre Lamb may leave Mercer to be Tenn Tech OC.
Chatt has loss their Def Coordinator and DL coach to Kent St
Western Illini has loss its head coach
ETSU is losing their OL coach to Tenn Tech

Dewayne Alexander to TN Tech... Yes coming from ETSU... Was on Watson Brown staff at Tech when Tre Lamb was QB... Dewayne is not far removed from being a tremendous HS Coach in Tennessee... Great hire

Wow, just had a "Wofford" reference from Mack Brown on national tv referring to Army and the triple option attack, and Wofford was listed first, as in "they do it just like Wofford..."

I like Army's execution, esp. the way the QB sometimes takes it straight ahead after the FB fake.
