From what I saw, FU played a pretty balanced game (run/pass), and did a serviceable job on defense. The Terriers can handle them, imo. Time to get the ole game face on at Gibbs.

I think our defense is good enough to keep us in this game, if not win it.

Everyone talked how much better they are then they were earlier in the year, and they eeked out a win against Elon. Elon was a decent team. And they played ok. But we are a totally different animal. I am pumped up to get Furman. Means it should be about as good of a playoff environment at Gibbs as has ever been. And we get to beat our rival from down the road.....AGAIN.

COUNT ME IN!!!!!!!

Locals (UNH) win 14-0 vs.Central Connecticut State.
First time I came across this: CCSU was penalized 15 yards for disconcerting signals! I.e. Defense was barking signals along with UNH QB. Very Odd...on to Central Arkansas. Will not be pretty.
Looking forward to seeing everyone at Gibbs next Saturday.

Furples had 3 turnovers today a/g Eloan. Hopefully, that trend continues next week.

Wonder whether we have added any new wrinkles in our time off ?

Any word on how our injured folks are doing?

Furman will be coming for us with hammer and tongs. The good news is that our guys know it, expect it, and are equally motivated to prove that the first game wasn't a fluke. This will be the biggest installment ever in a rivalry dating to 1889 which is a BIG deal. Wofford needs to play Terrier football, avoid mistakes and mental lapses and most importantly get out of the gate quickly. A touchdown on our first drive and a three and out on theirs will go a long way for us. This is doable, but only if we are hitting on all cylinders. Furman would love nothing more than to do to us what we did to The Citadel last season.

Interesting trivia:
This will be the 5th time Wofford and Furman have played more than once in a year.
In 1890 the two played three times with Furman winning 2 and Wofford winning 1. (Apparently there wasn't anyone else to play that year)
In 1900 they played twice with Wofford winning one and one tie.
In 1968 and 1969 they played twice each year with Wofford winning all 4.
It has been 127 years since Furman has won in a year when the teams met more than once.

Game notes http://athletics.wofford.edu/documents/ ... tes_17.pdf

Both Datavious and Mikel are not in the 2 deep. Hope that does not mean that they are not going to play at all. If they are still questionable then hopefully they will improve by game day and be able to play

I'm hearing that Furman students are going to be out in droves to this one. Anyone hear about anything our students/administration is doing for this one?

Unlike prior games, this game will actually cost money for the students to get in ($10) and that could depress turnout if the administration doesn't compensate. A lot of times our administration has bought tickets for students to come to the Socon championship game in basketball, I don't see why they don't do the same here

What time does Clemson play? Lewis Grizzard said that no matter how good you have been in life, the number of people at your funeral is entirely dependent on the weather! For us it depends on when Clemson plays.
