We got a draw that will make it tough for us to advance.

Both of our potential first opponents are known quantities, Furman in particular. Furman will go hard against Elon to avenge their earlier loss. Our road is a difficult but fair one ... once more into the breach! Do what we do!

I thought Furman deserved a spot, although I was skeptical after Samford beat them.

Don't think we got the short end of the stick. JSU on the other hand has the toughest draw in my opinion. Winner of Samford vs Kennesaw, then winner of Sam Houston vs SDSU.

As for us rather face Elon

Just talked to a friend who is a Furman fan. Evidently they got jobbed by a bad "no TD" call yesterday, and many felt they weren't going to get a bid. Now they have to go to Elon-again. It would be easy to assume that both E-Loan and the Furples are on a down note, but both are complete surprises, with new head coaches who are coaching another coach's players. Two schools in the South who wish they were in the North. One complete imposter (Elon) and the other with a really solid senior QB. I think Furman wins that game and we play them again.

Tough draw, but you gotta play the tough teams eventually. I think this was pretty expected with Furman making the field. NDSU deserved the 2 and we weren't getting above 7 with no one above us losing. Regionalization guarantees the Elon/Furman rematch. Of course you'd rather play new and different teams, but that's unlikely with their rules now.

Two weeks to get healthy and tweak the things we do. We must keep our edge, and I think we will. We have talent and experience, and guys and coaches with character, and now must focus and avoid turnovers. Adding a little variety into the mix would not hurt. Need to have some fun.

Furman / Wofford rematch is always a greater motivator for the team that loss the first go around. Elon on the other hand would be a advantage Wofford being they would be facing a team they are not familiar with

The no touchdown call resulted in a touchdown on the very next play.

Was the Samford Furman game televised on ESPN?

I love the draw. 2 teams we are very familiar with. 2 weeks to heal and prep. And at home. Spare me the whoa is me talk due to seeing Furman in bracket. Bring their butt on in to sparkle city so we can clam them up as well. Tired of hearing about how great Furman is and how bad of a draw they are. HOGWASH....I can’t wait to see them get off the bus in sparkle city.

I hope the team and coaches have exactly the same attitude as you!

I like our draw. Go 3-0 and I like our chances in Frisco. N Dakota or JSU is a good matchup scheme wise. Sam Houston or any of the other MVFC teams that sling it around would be a cause for concern.

Normally I would feel bad about rematching Furman, but to be honest their fans and players have been talking so much trash on social media I imagine the team wants to hit them in the face, figuratively speaking.
